My biggest fault....

-LAZINESS-
That is the offensive name! It seems like we all have that one thing that gets in the way of our walk with the Lord! Whether it's something you do, or have, it's all the same in a way.
Recently I really have 'wanted' to get up in the mornings before the others are up, and spend some time with the Lord before our usual family devotions.
So I set my alarm for 6:00 am. Morning comes and the alarm goes off. I wake up partially...Look at the clock, and then how dark & cold it is....."God you know I want to pray and have a quiet time reading my bible, but I really NEED this sleep....I will get up extra early tomorrow morning " and with that resolve making me feel like a "good" person, I go back to bed.
I get up about an hour later,  asking myself why I didn't get up earlier? Tomorrow I will get up early FOR SURE I tell myself.
And on and on the same routine every day!
It was on Wednesday night when we had a meeting here, that we were reading in 2 Chronicles 20
I will put down some of the main verses(at the bottom of the page) but I'd highly recommend reading the whole chapter!
These verses are talking about how God said how he'd right for them etc. And then before they saw the dead bodies of their enemies they worshiped and Praised God! It was when they stared to sing and to praise God  that God went before them and their enemies were all killed!
It was because they had faith in God's promise, that they praised him ahead I time, they BELIEVED that he would do what he had said! I think God really wants to take him at his word!!
Anyways last night I realized that I never had faith that God would get me out of bed in the morning, I totally was disbelieving in God that he would help me overcome the enemy in my life called "laziness" So last night I just praised and thanked the Lord for getting me up the next morning, and had faith in him , and the morning comes around, and wow God really had defeated that "lazy" spirit , I got up, and really was awake and had my quiet time in the morning feeling so much refreshed!
I must daily have that faith in him!
There is a reason the verse says "faith as a mustard seed" you don't need to work up this "big" faith, just a pinch of the real thing, and God can actually do what he wants to do! I was just like THANK YOU GOD!!! he's so amazing, I want my life to bring him Glory, although sometimes Its so easy take my eyes off of the light!

15And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

16To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of
Jeruel.

17Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be
dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

18And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

19And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

21And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
